Amazon Rain forest

Stop Amazon Rain Forest deforestation

The Amazon rain forest has been deforested by burning since the 1950’s.  Two billion acres so far. So much burning the extra CO2 caused other plants to grow too fast and topple over. This decay takes in oxygen and gives off carbon dioxide.  In 1992, the Amazon rain forest switched to be an oxygen sink and carbon dioxide producer. Since 1992, worldwide oxygen levels have been decreasing.  https://www.oxygenlevels.org/

Hundreds of scientific papers have been written on the switching.  Google “amazon rain forest switching to oxygen sink”
